BusRelay Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 9, 2026

Welcome to BusRelay. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of BusRelay’s transportation notification and communication services.

1. BusRelay Service

BusRelay provides transportation-related notifications to parents, guardians, students, and other authorized recipients. Notifications may include school bus delays, route changes, transportation schedule changes, cancellations, emergency transportation notices, and other important transportation updates.

BusRelay is intended to provide timely information but does not guarantee that every message will be delivered immediately or successfully. Delivery may be affected by cellular carriers, internet service, system availability, or other circumstances outside our control.

2. SMS/Text Message Consent

By registering for BusRelay and voluntarily selecting the consent checkbox, you agree to receive transportation-related SMS/text messages at the mobile number you provide.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

3. Opting Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a BusRelay text message. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS notifications unless you enroll again.

For assistance, reply HELP or contact BusRelay through the contact information provided on our website.

4. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for providing accurate and current contact information when registering for BusRelay. This includes the correct mobile phone number, email address, school, school district, and transportation information when applicable.

Users should update their registration information if their contact or transportation information changes.

5. Message Delivery

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. BusRelay cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or delivery of SMS, email, or other electronic notifications.

Parents and guardians should continue to follow official instructions and procedures provided by their school or school district.

6. Privacy

Information submitted through BusRelay is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Personal information collected through registration is used to provide and administer transportation notifications and related services.

Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS consent information, will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in consent data will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

7. Changes to These Terms

BusRelay may update these Terms & Conditions as the service develops or as necessary to comply with applicable requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

8. Contact

Questions regarding these Terms & Conditions or the BusRelay notification service may be submitted through the contact information provided on the BusRelay website.

One important thing before you publish

On the registration form, keep the SMS consent checkbox unchecked by default. The wording beside it should clearly tell parents that they’re agreeing to receive transportation alerts, that message frequency varies, that message/data rates may apply, and that they can reply STOP to opt out.

Also, once you create this page, don’t submit the Twilio registration quite yet. Show me the next Twilio screen first. I want to make sure the opt-in description, Privacy Policy URL, Terms URL, and sample messages all match each other before you submit it.
